- Offering to modern pilgrims a true experience of what it was like to be a pilgrim in the year 1000. Reviving interest in the long neglected "Via Francigena" through England, France, Switzerland and Italy. Promoting the educational and logistic aspects of the itinerary.
- Studying the "Via Francigena" in its cultural and historical contexts, emphasizing all aspects and traditions which are part of a European culture, both of the past and of the present.
- Safeguarding and reviving this important part of our european cultural heritage; replacing art works in their original context thanks to temporary or permanent exhibitions.
- Training tourist guides specialized to promote the lesser known sites along the Via Francigena.
